Culture Change

Why corporate culture is so important

An organization's culture is a key success factor: Cultural elements such as behavior, thought patterns, and values influence â–şstrategies, goals, and ways of functioning. The corporate culture is reflected, for example, in daily interaction or in dealings with customers. A corporate culture that is lived out in practice can be a decisive advantage over competitors and contribute to remaining fit for the future and also emerging stronger from crises. If companies or organizations want to work more efficiently, more effectively and more successfully overall, they must not only put their processes to the test, but must also focus on their culture and develop it further.

Why Culture Change takes time

Culture change cannot be prescribed. Neither can corporate values or the behavior of employees. For cultural change to succeed, management must rather adapt framework conditions, create safe spaces, enable feedback - and above all not expect abrupt changes. After all, cultural change does not happen overnight. Only when the (new) values are anticipated or experienced at the individual level does a culture slowly begin to develop for the organization as a whole. Companies and organizations should plan at least six to twelve months for this process.

How SEMA Consult supports you in Culture Development

We understand Culture Development as a targeted change process. Our professional, experienced team of consultants accompanies you in your Culture Development - so that your culture change is successful and sustainable.

  • Our work usually begins with a review of the given corporate values: Are they up to date? Are they lived? Do the structures in the organization match them? Or are they just slogans that have no relevance for corporate action?
  • In the next step, we clarify the goals to be achieved with the cultural change.
  • After the analysis phase, we work with you to develop a structured concept to:
  1. Create the need for a change at all levels,
  2. To give everyone the honest feeling that they are significant and qualified for this change, and then
  3. To start the change by a very dense communicative support.
